
Lisa Oman is a nonprofit arts executive with more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, fundraising, financial management, and program development for nationally recognized organizations. She has supported the arts and culture, music, dance, and theater communities as an executive director, finance director, board member, festival co‑producer, and founding officer of two organizations. Her work also includes presenting at conferences, leading professional development workshops, and contributing to industry panels.
She has helped bring 45 commissions and 78 premieres to the stage, collaborating with leading artists across the performing and educational music sectors. Her fundraising achievements include securing legacy bequests, major sponsorships, and significant individual gifts. Artistic teams under her leadership have earned recognition from the National Endowment for the Arts and major funders such as the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Fromm Music Foundation, the Creative Work Fund, and the Clarence E. Heller Charitable Foundation.
In 2011, Lisa founded Composers and Schools in Concert, where she continues to serve as President. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Gonzaga University and a Master of Business Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology. A classical trumpet player by training, she has maintained a lifelong commitment to fostering creativity, producing new works for ensembles of all sizes, and developing educational programs that help students become confident music creators, performers, advocates, and patrons.
Today, Lisa provides consulting services to performing arts organizations and ensembles across the country.
